The Cornell Daily Sun

I previously served as Design Editor of the Cornell Daily Sun’s 137th Editorial Board, overseeing all visual content, in print and online, including layout, illustrations, and graphics. I currently am an illustrator and design staff member.

Left: 2019 Willard Straight Takeover 50th Anniversary Special Issue of the Cornell Daily Sun, remembering and commemorating the 36-hour occupation of Willard Straight Hall by Black students protesting Cornell's hostility toward students of color.

Right: Cover and back page design for the 2019 Joke Issue of the Cornell Daily Sun, with handwritten elements imitating a “beaten” copy of the Sun’s “161 Things Every Cornellian Should Do” and a back page in the style of the New York Post.

Right: Charts for coverage of the 2020 United States presidential election, looking at donations by professors and employees at Cornell. Designed to be interactive in web applications and modified for print.

Left: Covers for weekly updates tracking the Covid-19 pandemic, intended to be engaging, foster continuity between articles, and inform readers at a glance on social media platforms. Colors reflect campus alert level while large type and figures make key metrics readily accessible.
